- Makayla WoodsAug 07, 2019Epidimics/ QuarantineAs we know, Hollywood loves to make movies that play on our fears, as we see through the production of scary movies or psychological thrillers. However, I think that the most significant of these are the almost dystopian films that play on our fears of modern society suddenly crumbling. Lucky for us there is a movie that falls into this category and is directly related to health and well-being. The movie, Quarantine, starring Jennifer Carpenter, is about a TV reporter and camera man who are trapped inside a CDC quarantine center after an outbreak of deadly virus that turns humans essentially into zombies. It was the first rural cemetery in the United States and is the burial site of many people who have had a significant impact on the healthcare system/healthcare in the US.
